Chapter 9 Raelynn Arrives
- “You f*cker! How dare you hit me! All of you, get him, beat this b*stard to a pulp!”
- Keith touched his nose, realizing it was bleeding, and immediately he was consumed by anger.
- “D*mn it, this audacious jerk even dared to hit Mr. Escobar. He's really asking for trouble!”
- “I've always disliked this guy. Now it's time to take him down!”
- Keith's lackeys let out a shout and quickly surrounded Elio.
- “You all can't stand me? Well, I've been fed up with you lot for a while now! Since I'm leaving anyway, I might as well teach you a lesson today. Just because I didn't fight back previously doesn't mean I'm afraid!”
- Elio looked at his former colleagues, finding their behavior utterly repugnant. Thus, clenching his fists, he let out a bellow and charged at them.
- If it were the old Elio, he would surely have been intimidated in the face of such a crowd. But now, having received the Mystic Medical Secret Arts' inheritance, he was filled with power and showed no fear whatsoever!
- One of them swung his fist, aiming a punch at Elio's head.
- A hint of coldness flashed across Elio's lips. Before the man's fist could reach his head, Elio's punch was faster, landing directly on the man's abdomen. Following a resounding thud, the man's face contorted in pain. His body flew backward like a sandbag, landing several meters away.
- Everyone else was left stunned.
- Even Keith was left dumbfounded. When had Elio become so strong that he could send someone flying with just a single punch?
- “Guys, grab your weapons!” Keith shouted.
- When the others saw how formidable Elio had become, they quickly armed themselves. Some grabbed steel pipes, others wrenches, and a few even snatched up screwdrivers... They all rushed toward Elio in a cacophony of shouts.
- Elio was utterly fearless. Despite these people charging at him with weapons, in his eyes, they seemed as slow as turtles!
- He launched a kick, striking a guy who was holding a screwdriver. With a resounding thud, the man was sent flying.
- Following that, Elio swiftly turned around and landed a punch on the shoulder of a guy who was holding a wrench. The man staggered backward before plopping down on the ground on his bottom.
- Then, Elio jumped up and lashed out with two kicks, sending the remaining two individuals soaring away.
- Elio landed gracefully, casting his gaze over the people scattered haphazardly on the ground. A triumphant smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
- It was at that moment that the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.
- He spun around abruptly, only to find Keith shockingly raising a chair to strike at his head. Elio's face turned cold, and in a swift move, he seized Keith's wrist...
- Originally, Keith had intended to smash the chair on Elio from behind, but Elio directly grabbed his wrist, rendering him unable to move.
- “You dare ambush me?” Elio's voice was chillingly cold.
- “I-I...”
- Keith could clearly sense that Elio was vastly different from before. The latter's gaze was as cold as ice, exerting an overwhelming pressure on him!
- Crack!
- With a slight exertion of force, Elio broke Keith's wrist.
- “Ah!”
- Keith let out a howl, the chair he was holding slipping from his grasp and falling to the ground with a thud. As luck would have it, it landed straight on his own foot.
- He hopped around on one leg, but after a mere two leaps, he was knocked over onto the ground by a kick from Elio.
- Subsequently, Elio placed a foot firmly on Keith's chest, rendering him incapable of moving!
- “Keith, I've been tolerating you for quite some time now,” Elio said, his gaze cold and unyielding as he stared at Keith's face. “You think I'm oblivious to your antics? I simply deemed them beneath my notice!”
- Keith could hardly believe it. The usually easy-to-bully Elio turned out to be such a formidable fighter. IHe hurriedly begged for mercy, “E-Elio, I was wrong. I shouldn't have tarnished your reputation, nor should I have extorted your money. How about this? I'll give you money. I'll give you two thousand... no, five thousand, ten thousand! Please, just spare me!”
- “Your money is tainted, so I refuse to accept it! The reason I'm acting this way is simply to make you understand one thing - decent people aren't to be messed with. Push a decent person too far, and they'll show you what it means to reap what you sow!”
- After uttering those chilling words, Elio ruthlessly crushed Keith's other hand underfoot.
- His footwork was quite unique; that one stomp caused Keith to suffer a comminuted fracture.
- Even if he were to get his bones set at the hospital, it probably wouldn't do much good. It seemed that for the rest of his life, Keith would have to live with only one functioning arm.
- “What goes around comes around. Good deeds are rewarded, and bad deeds are punished. If it hasn't happened yet, it's simply because the time isn't right!”
- After Elio finished speaking, he was just about to leave when William rushed in with a look of urgency. He exclaimed, “El, bad news! Mr. Ziegler is here... Mr. Escobar, Welt, what happened to you guys?”
- As soon as William entered, he was met with the sight of Keith and others writhing on the ground in agony. His face was a mask of utter shock.
- “Did you beat them up?” William asked Elio.
- “That's right, I did it! Before leaving, it's only right to leave them with a little memento,” Elio said, a faint smile playing on his lips.
- “D*mn! El, when did you become so bad*ss, taking them all down by yourself?” William said, admiration lacing his words.
- No sooner had William finished speaking than a rather authoritative voice rang out. “Elio, did you beat up Mr. Escobar and the others?”
- “That's right, Mr. Ziegler!” Elio said, turning to the newcomer.
- Simon Ziegler was none other than the person in charge of this company. Upon seeing the people scattered haphazardly around the room and Keith's pitiful appearance, he was on the verge of exploding with anger!
- “Elio, you've already resigned, yet you still want to show off your might to the company?” Simon stared down at Elio.
- “Mr. Ziegler, you've got it all wrong,” Elio said with remarkable composure. “They were the ones who smeared my name first and even tried to extort me. So, I had no choice but to retaliate.”
- “You're talking nonsense! I know Mr. Escobar's character very well; how could he possibly tarnish your reputation? And extort you?” Simon said, clearly infuriated.
- “Exactly! Mr. Ziegler, look at what this guy has done to me! You have to stand up for me!” Keith struggled to his feet, pleading pitifully.
- “Hmph! Mr. Escobar, rest assured, I'll certainly stand up for you,” Simon assured with a huff. He then ordered William, “William, call the police immediately. Let them come and arrest this brute!”
- “Um...” William hesitated, unsure of how to proceed.
- Just then, a cold female voice spoke up. “Hold off on calling the police. I want to understand the situation first.”
- “Huh?”
- Everyone froze, following the sound to its source. Upon seeing who the speaker was, Simon, whose expression had been black as thunder, instantly smiled widely as he exclaimed, “Oh my, Ms. Ryton, why have you come?”
- Elio had spotted the newcomer as well. It was none other than Raelynn, dressed in professional attire, her legs clad in black stockings and her face as cold as the chill of a harsh winter.
