Chapter 7 Kneel for Forgiveness

  • In the intensive care unit, James finished taking the young boy's pulse, his brows furrowed deeply with concern.
  • He sadly admitted, "The poison has made its way to his heart, and there's nothing I can do."
  • The doctor with glasses appeared to seize a chance and promptly declared, "I've been saying all along. It's this old doctor who carelessly stuck needles, hurting this child."
  • Anthony squinted and gave a frosty stare at him.
  • "Dr. Hunt, is there truly no solution?" he asked, feeling desperate.
  • James sighed and then addressed Francis, asking, "Young friend, do you happen to have a solution?"
  • Indeed, Francis was a genius doctor. In James' perspective, if anyone could rescue the young boy, it had to be him.
  • "Are you considering asking for his assistance? Dr. Hunt, I believe you're mistaken. How could I ever trust my son's life with him?" Rosalie objected passionately.
  • "He's just a young man, I'm well aware. He doesn't even have a proper medical license. How dare he attempt to treat my son?" she persisted.
  • At that moment, the young man chimed in, "Uncle Anthony, why do you trust alternative medicine? If you had gone to Professor Bane from the start, he would have surely healed Dylan."
  • Francis' gaze hardened as he glanced at the young boy lying on the hospital bed. "Three minutes," he stated sharply.
  • "What absurdity are you spouting? What three minutes? Are you wishing death upon my son? Let me make it clear, if anything happens to my son, the first people I'll hold accountable are you and James!"
  • Rosalie pointed at Francis and cursed. Her conviction in alternative medicine being a fraud is now stronger than ever.
  • "In three more minutes, your son's condition will be irreparable. Let me apply the treatment now, and there's a chance we might save him," Francis urged, his tone urgent.
  • He would have walked away long ago from Rosalie if not for the compassion of a doctor and considering the innocence of the young boy.
  • Anthony looked towards James, realising that the only person he could still trust to some extent was him.
  • "I believe this young friend is not one to speak recklessly. If he says he can save him, then he most certainly can," James stated.
  • Anthony hesitated for a moment, then nodded heavily. "Alright, young man, I entrust my son to you.
  • "If you can save my son, I will surely offer you profound gratitude."
  • Upon hearing this, Rosalie immediately objected, "Anthony, how can you still have faith in these two fraudsters? It's because of them that the situation has become like this."
  • "Yeah, Uncle Anthony, we can't trust them anymore. Personally, I think we should just sue them directly. They've essentially murdered Dylan. They should be jailed and given the death penalty."
  • Unable to contain himself any longer, Francis exclaimed angrily, "You consented to the silver needle, you brought in this supposed modern medicine doctor, and it was your decision to take him away. Now that something has gone wrong, you're blaming us.
  • "Today, either the three of you kneel and beg for forgiveness, or prepare to deal with the consequences!" his tone was firm and unwavering.
  • Despite being falsely accused and harassed, he still retained a fiery spirit. But they had chosen the wrong target if they thought he was an easy pushover.
  • Anthony narrowed his eyes, fixed his gaze on Francis for a count of five, and then bellowed, "Rosalie, Jayden, and you, all kneel and beg forgiveness from this young man."
  • Anthony also directed his inquiry towards Francis, though he realised there was no alternative at the moment. All he could do was hold onto hope for a miracle.
  • "Anthony, have you lost your mind? Do you truly believe the words of this unqualified brat? He doesn't even possess a medical license!"
  • Rosalie and Jayden were both very dissatisfied.
  • "Exactly, Uncle Anthony. Why should we kneel … "
  • Slap!
  • Anthony's hand delivered a resounding slap across Jayden's face and shouted, "Kneel down!"
  • Rosalie, Jayden, and Professor Bane all trembled, while Anthony's demeanour was enough to make the entire Ashenwald quake with fear.
  • Even his wife, Rosalie, dared not utter a word. She simply knelt down, her plea barely escaping her lips, "Please, save my son!"
  • "And you two," Francis directed his gaze towards Jayden and Professor Bane.
  • Jayden and Professor Bane exchanged fierce glares, but eventually, they both relented, dropping to their knees and through clenched teeth, uttered, "My apologies, please save Dylan."
  • Only then did Francis nod, his expression resolute, before swiftly making his way to the bedside.
  • Between his outstretched palms, seven silver needles soared upwards. A faint grey aura emanated from his hand, and with remarkable speed, he tapped each of the seven silver needles, which then found their mark on the seven acupoints of Dylan's body.
  • Watching this scene, James became visibly excited, his hands trembling slightly. "Ghost … Ghost Doctor's Divine Needles! Without a doubt. It's exactly like the technique my master described years ago.
  • "If the King of Hell wants you to die at three, I'll make sure you stay until five! Never did I imagine that in my lifetime, I would have the privilege of witnessing the marvels of the Ghost Doctor's Divine Needles!"
  • Professor Bane sneered derisively, "Just a façade, all style and no substance. It may look impressive, but it's hardly practical."
