Chapter 61

• Kara stepped to stand beside the table, her bow at the ready and pointing at the old man on the other side of the room.
• The man took a few steps forward, his arms still raised in the air. “Ah, it’s the lost woman.” He was looking at Reagan. “You had me fooled, princess, I had no idea who you were.” He inclined his head to her. When he lifted it, the objects in the air began swirling faster.
• I watched the objects, none of them were harmless if they were to hit or drop on us. I bit my lip and looked around the room. I couldn’t hold anything long enough to cover all of us.
