• Lola's POV
• The school bell finally rang through the entire school building for break period, and I felt my heart skip a beat as fear engulfed me. I also felt the shudder Jace made and knew that he was also afraid of what would be his fate for standing by me.
• The teacher immediately picked up her instruments and walked out of the class, causing me to shut my eyes and swallow hard as I feared looking sideways to avoid the stares of the students.
