• The feeling of waking up to find a man in the same bed was completely new to Chan, and the moment she fluttered her eyes open and saw Sam beside her, she swallowed hard. Her cheeks flushed hot as what had happened last night came rushing back to her. It didn’t help either that Sam was watching her, a smirk playing about his lips. How long had he been up? she wondered. How long had been looking at her sleeping?
• Because she couldn’t help herself, she reached her hands out and covered his eyes. “Stop watching me so intensely like that. And stop smiling.”
• Sam caught her wrists and removed her slender hands as he said, “Well, good morning to you, too.”
