Chapter 21

• "I am sorry," Annie's voice echoed in Harold's head. He wasn't angry with her, but with himself. A flash of memory knocked at his senses the moment he saw her talking to Evan. He hated how jealousy gnawed at his heart, it suffocated him enough to awaken his defenses.
• The driver parked in the lot, and after waiting for minutes without seeing Harold move, he honked. "We're here, sir," the driver said when he noticed Harold was deep in thought.
• "Oh, right," Harold uttered, getting out of the car, distracted by an approaching footsteps.
