  • The next morning, Harold was adamant about being discharged from the hospital. Since he would be unable to walk for a while, he found his time in the hospital useless. "We recommend a wheelchair to help make it easier to heal," the doctor said. Harold stared at the brand new wheelchair. He had countless expensive cars, but it was this small wheel he needed right now, he thought.
  • "It's just for a while, baby," Melanie whispered in his ear and kissed him on the forehead. Harold nodded, taking every little comfort in his mother's words and touch.
  • "My driver will take us home now," Melanie said, gesturing for a lady to help Harold with the wheelchair. "I would rather go to my place, the one on the island," he said, hating how his mother and Jay's intimate scene flashed through his mind.
