• "Would you mind putting some extra ice-cream in hers as well?" he said, turning to face me. "Trust me on this one," he replied, winking. While he was busy reaching across the table, the woman gave him another friendly grin.
• He reached out and held my hand in his, and I just stared at him in disbelief. I mean, this guy is way too old for me, and he's also quite attractive. Was he trying to trick me into something? In my lap, I rested my hand on his, who appeared to be pained but managed to hide it with his grin. And, with a smirk on his face, asked, "So what did you get for your birthday?"
• Aside from a new charm for my phone, my Mom and James bought me a new iPod, and Henry bought me this bracelet, which I jiggled to make it shine when I caught a ray of sunlight on my arm. Then he reached out and gently grabbed hold of my wrist, moving it closer to him so he could examine it more thoroughly.
