Chapter 25 A Miracle

- A loud growl brought me back to my senses, and I realized that I had been lost in my thoughts for too long. Startled, I quickly scan my surroundings to identify the source of the growl, my heart pounding with anticipation. I walked toward the source of that growl. As I cautiously approached, my eyes locked on a pair of piercing amber eyes glowing in the shadows. The growl grew louder, revealing a majestic and powerful creature standing before me—a magnificent wolf, whose presence commands respect and awe.
- "Richard...," I mumbled, awestruck by his condition; he was bleeding profusely from a deep gash on his side. Without hesitation, I tore off a piece of my shirt and rushed to his side, applying pressure to try and stem the bleeding. Richard's eyes met mine, filled with gratitude and pain. Richard moaned in pain under my touch as he turned back into human form, his body trembling with the effort of maintaining control. I could see the struggle in his eyes as he fought against the pain. He is badly injured; every inch of his body is covered in deep cuts and bruises. I could sense his determination to stay conscious, but his weakened state was evident.
