Chapter 31

  • The class was silent as we waited for Ms. Elena to arrange the test papers. Ms. Elena is one of those teachers that love to call out the result of each student after a test. I personally find it annoying because I don’t want anyone in my business, I don’t want anyone to know whether or not I passed a test. According to Ms. Elena though, she called out the results as a way of encouraging students to work harder. In the last mini-test we did in chemistry I had a 70% which was a B. It wasn’t too bad because I always had a D back in Lake George. It was a huge improvement and I have Annabel to thank for that. Charlie had a B+ in the last test, and not that it’s any of my business but Christian had an A+ with 99%. I swear that boy is so perfect that sometimes I think the word perfect was made for him.
  • Something was bugging my mind though, Tyler’s results were never mentioned in class. At first, I supposed it happened like that because he was the son of the owner of the school but after a while, I noticed that none of his results were ever recorded and his scores were never a topic of discussion among our classmates but at the end of every term he came out too of the class. It was peculiar but well, it’s none of my business.
  • “Fred come for your test paper,” Ms. Elena’s voice rang out.” You had a B on this test, that’s a great improvement from your score on the last test. Try to work on your calculations.” She handed the paper to a beaming Fred. He was a short quiet boy who mostly kept to himself. “Keep it up.”
