• Both Carla and Liam knew that was not what she wanted to say. The words on the tip of her tongue were more like childish, ridiculous, immature among other things. But she held her tongue in check. It was probably because of her boss. Liam answered as he saw Carla was still nursing her anger and her jaw was set stubbornly.
• He managed to hold back his laughter " It's nothing you need to worry about, Amanda, we're fine "
• Amanda obviously didn't believe him but she didn't say anything further.
