Chapter 13 Going With Him

• My heart races as I get into a taxi and ask him to drive. I glance back at Nikola's car; he's not following me.
• Oh God, what did I do? Should I have gone with him? Was I irrational in the running from him? I don't care; I did the first thing I thought to do: protect myself and this baby. I didn't even know where he was taking me; he was mysterious.
• "Stop!" I order. I quickly pay him and leave his car. It's almost evening now, so the streets are busy. I need to stay somewhere for now to think. Why was Nikolas after me? Was he the one in my apartment earlier? I sigh and enter an abandoned warehouse I've been seeing around.
