- A muffled scream escaped from his mouth after his throat was slit open. His body fell with a loud thud on the concrete, filthy ground, and I watched how his hands tried to cover his gaping neck. The body twitched for the whole ten seconds as his blood pooled around, reaching the tip of my shoes, and I flinched, disgusted by the metallic tang smell that started surrounding the place. Seconds later, the gurgling sound coming from his mouth went silent. He laid still. His glassy eyes stared at me vacantly as I watched how their pupils dilated as all the muscles inside them relaxed—loosened.
