Damien was here but his clothing was torn in some places from the crash but overall, he seemed perfectly alright and my heart soared. Heat coursed through my core at the sight of the absolute rage and fury etched across his face. His power and dominance radiated around him and the sight of his murderous intent directed at his evil brother made me want to fall in his arms.
Damien was here. He had come for me , for us. My hand hovered over my stomach and in that moment some of the power of ice drifted away. That was enough for my head to clear of the powerful magic consuming my body and soul. The other half of my soul was here and just the sight of him slowly returned me to warmth.
