She wanted to show him that she was still on his side, as his Beta had refused to work with her. Now that he had lost an arm, she knew that he would be very dependent, and she wanted to take advantage of it.

• She drove to the pack hospital, only to still meet him in a critical condition. He was sleeping and his body looked pale. She met the nurse in charge.
