Chapter 57 Like A Mother

• Jake sat up on the hospital bed. His hands, head and legs were covered in bandages. He was healing outwardly, but he felt like a dead man inside. His gaze followed the nurse who came to check up on him.
• "I will be leaving today." He declared, his tone leaving no chance for argument.
• The nurse hesitated a bit, afraid that she might anger him, but then she finally spoke. "I... I'm not sure you are good to go yet, Alpha. We found out that there is a lot of wolfsbane in your system, and your organs are still quite vulnerable. We have done our best to flush most of it out. You just have to wait for the rest to leave your system, and for you to heal properly."
