Chapter 36 Stay Like That

• Nina lay on the bed, curled in a foatal position, her body covered under the sheets. She had cried a little after her confrontation with Sophie, and then seeing Ezra. Now different thoughts ran through her mind. She was very disappointed in Ezra's accusation, and for the fact that it was Sophie who told him that. Why would he believe her words when he very well knew that all she ever wants to do was being her down? Or was she overreacting? The situation was convincing anyway. The fact that she had her phone turned off, he couldn't reach her through the mindlink, and she left without telling him.
• She then heard the door open, and she heard footsteps walk in. She knew it was Ezra, so she closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep.
• Ezra walked to the bed and climbed onto it. He then faced her, staring at her closed eyelids for a while. "I know that you are not asleep baby." He stated. "And I am sorry for doubting you like that. I should have asked you first, and not even considered Sophie's words in the first place. I know that you trust me, and you expect same from me. I do trust you baby, I just reacted from my frustrations. I know that is not an excuse at all." He sighed and touched her cheek, rubbing it with his thumb. "You said you feel home with me, you expect me to always give you comfort, you come to me when you are sad. I am sorry for failing you there."
