• As I walked down the corridor toward the stairs, my mind still buzzing with the aftermath of everything that had just transpired, I barely noticed Arnaud until he was right beside me. His presence was enough to snap me out of my daze.
• "Alpha," Arnaud said quietly, his voice low, as always. "Your father has sent for you. He wants to see you in his chambers."
