• I froze as I saw her; she looked different. It had been a long time since I saw her this way. I could tell she had lost a couple of pounds and looked worn out.
• As soon as she saw me, her face lit up with a smile as she approached me. I made no move as she walked to me and hugged me. I knew she came with nothing but trouble. I had my life to figure out, and now here she was, with a fresh dose of trouble again.
