Chapter 44

• On the elevator ride to Rowen’s apartment, Hayleigh thought long and hard about how she was going to dispose of her professor’s body.
• There could only be one possible explanation as to why Rowen was being a full-blown asshole to her: he had to be angry. At what, she had no idea, but she would soon be wringing the answer out of him until his eyes popped out.
• The elevator doors opened. She was furious enough not to care, but god forbid if it had something to do with that night. He’d been acting like a decent person up until then—which in retrospect had been too good, too unbelievable to be true. Of course he’d be back to being a dick after getting what he wanted.
