Chapter 42 Mercy

- Of all the places to crash-land, we ended up plunging to our near deaths close to the snow-capped mountains, deep in the heart of Peru. Well, that’s what the GPS on Vincent’s phone told me. There was no sign of civilization, and fate was on our side when the plane skidded on the uneven ground, seconds away from smashing into a rocky hill.
- Fortunately, our pilots never survived. As soon as they brought us safely to the ground, Vincent and I were ready, putting two bullets through the back of their heads. They were too distracted to save their necks, and they didn’t see it coming. One day, I may be ashamed of stripping a dead man of his clothes. Nevertheless, I had no choice. The shift dress I was wearing would not protect me from the harsh weather outside.
