Chapter 1 Thank You for Donating Sperm, Mr Jardel

  • In the darkness of the Presidential Suite in the Sovereign Grand Hotel, the man firmly pressed the girl into the bed, his deep voice suppressing any resistance. "Don't be afraid. Help me this once, and the conditions are open for negotiation."
  • A hot breath brushed against Yvette Milligan's face, making her tense with vigilance.
  • Her beautiful eyes narrowed dangerously, and she quietly checked his pulse. After a moment, she almost laughed out loud.
  • So, that's it. Pretending to be drunk and mistaking me for someone else, insisting that I am your chauffeur, and persistently asking me to take you back to your room. You're trying to deceive me into becoming your 'antidote,' aren't you? How have I never noticed how shameless you are?
  • Then again…
  • Yvette had discovered three years ago, quite by accident, that her genes were unique, making her unable to conceive. Unless she could find a man with genes perfectly compatible with hers—an opportunity with a probability of one in a billion, practically equivalent to infertility. The man in front of her, thinking he had just picked a random stranger to be his 'antidote,' had no idea that he happened to be the one-in-a-billion carrier of the perfect genes.
  • The man's rough breathing drew closer, his crimson eyes staring at her like a wild beast in the darkness, his large hand firmly gripping her chin as he approached her slowly.
  • In the depths of Yvette's eyes, a trace of coldness flickered. Since you choose to be a b*stard, don't blame me for graciously accepting this generous gift!
  • She made up her mind, and when she spoke, her voice was soft and delicate, easy to deceive. "W-W-What are you doing… Stay away… Ah…"
  • The girl's struggling and twisting body, fragrant and soft, stimulated the man to inhale sharply.
  • "Be good, I'll compensate you…" The man growled low, and the last string in his mind snapped, pressing down on her abruptly.
  • As the sun reemerged and shone brightly in the sky, Lance Jardel woke up in a daze and involuntarily curled his lips.
  • Before opening his eyes, he reached out to pull the woman into his arms.
  • Although the effects of the medicine had long worn off after the first time last night, her pure and sweet voice still had an irresistible charm for him. With a certain idea firmly rooted in his mind since it emerged, he decided that he would marry her.
  • Eagerly, he turned to kiss his future wife again. Lo and behold, he reached out only to find the space beside him empty.
  • Opening his eyes and seeing the half-empty bed, he sat up abruptly after a moment of confusion.
  • On the sheets, besides the glaring crimson, there were ambiguous traces everywhere that fueled his imagination. However, the clothes that should have been scattered on the floor were nowhere to be found.
  • Not only were hers missing, but even his own were gone.
  • Lance furrowed his brows in stupefaction for a moment, jumped out of bed, and searched the entire suite inside and out. To his surprise, there was not a single piece of clothing, not even a bathrobe or pajamas, to be seen. Even the large bath towel in the bathroom had vanished without a trace!
  • Clearly, she had deliberately taken everything he could wear.
  • That d*mn woman, she actually ran away!
  • Lance was furious!
  • As the heir of the Jardel Family, many high-profile young ladies in Hadleigh dreamt of attaching themselves to him, but he had never paid them any attention. She, on the other hand, treated him like a scoundrel!
  • Do you think you can delay time and escape from my grasp just like this? How naive!
  • He angrily picked up his phone and dialed his assistant's number. "Sovereign Grand Hotel, Room 3102. Be here in ten minutes!"
  • After harshly ending the call, he threw the phone onto the bed.
  • A moment later, still fuming, he grabbed the phone again and dialed. "Bring my clothes, the whole set!"
  • Twenty minutes later, Declan Jonas stood with his head lowered. Seeing his boss sitting on the couch, now dressed neatly and finally returning to his usual cold and composed self, he let out a sigh of relief.
  • Only the heavens knew how greatly shocked he was when he saw his boss answering the door with only a bedsheet wrapped around him, wearing a face that looked ready to kill.
  • "Did you check the surveillance?" Lance's voice was as cold as ice. "I want to see that woman before noon today! Go and bring her to me!"
  • Declan's expression was somewhat strange as he cautiously said, "The hotel's security system was hacked early this morning, and all surveillance in the past 24 hours has been wiped clean."
  • "What?!" Lance's face stiffened as he locked his brows into a tight furrow. After a moment, he demanded grimly, "Find the world's best hacker to restore the surveillance! I don't care what you do. I want to know who that woman from yesterday was!"
  • "Yes, sir," Declan nodded and then carefully asked, "And your family, sir…"
  • "I'll see to it personally!" Lance's eyes flashed with a cold and stern glint.
  • The Jardel Family's reputation was impeccable, and it was unexpected that someone would stoop to the low tactic of using drugs to pull him down from his position as the heir. It was time to let those people know who truly held power in this family!
  • In the afternoon, inside the first-class cabin of a flight to Monterra, Yvette sat by the window, looking at the chat window on her phone screen with SilentRogue.
  • 'Big job incoming! Jardel Enterprises wants to restore the surveillance of the Sovereign Grand Hotel that got hacked this morning, and they specifically requested Zero to take the job!'
  • Yvette smirked and replied instantly, 'Not interested!'
  • 'Huh?'' SilentRogue sent a question mark and continued, 'Jardel Enterprises says the price is up to you. Won't you reconsider?'
  • Yvette typed. 'Hedge it and tell them to forget it. I'm about to take off. We'll talk after landing.'
  • After sending the message, she turned off her phone decisively.
  • Lance, that b*stard, probably couldn't even have guessed in his dreams that the world's top-ranked hacker, 'Zero,' was her!
  • She was the one who deleted the surveillance in the first place, and now they wanted her to restore it? Huh, fat chance!
  • Yvette turned her gaze out of the window, imagining the spectacle of the man raging in his birthday suit. She almost burst out laughing.
  • Many thanks for the kind donation, Mr. Jardel!
  • Then again, if he expected to still locate her after deceiving her into having sex with him, he could kiss his *ss!
  • Five years later, not far from the exit of Hadleigh Airport, sweet and childish voices echoed in the luggage claim area.
  • "Mommy, over here!"
  • "Oh no, our luggage is about to fall off!"
  • "Stella, don't worry, I'll go catch it."
  • "No, Crystal, haven't you forgotten? Mommy said you're still a baby, and babies don't have enough strength to lift a suitcase."
  • "Oh, right… Okay."
  • The two identical adorable toddlers looked to be only four or five years old, both wearing little red dresses and had braided pigtails. Their sparkling eyes radiated a playful light, making them irresistibly cute and attracting numerous admiring glances.
  • The conversation between the two little ones was both amusing and endearing.
  • Yvette, delayed for half a minute at the security checkpoint due to a safety pin deep in her pocket, turned around to find that the two kids had run off to the luggage carousel on their own, eagerly watching their suitcase, which moved along with the carousel, and following closely, afraid it might disappear if left unattended.
  • She chuckled and quickened her pace. Just as she was about to beckon her babies back to her, a large hand extended from in front of the baggage claim, grabbing her suitcase and placing it in front of the children.
  • "Here, don't follow the carousel. It's not safe." The man's voice was deep, and his stern brows and eyes were softened compared to usual.
  • "Thank you, sir!" The girls spoke in unison with their sweet and childish voices, causing the man's lips to curl upward subconsciously.
  • Yvette saw the man's profile and suddenly stopped in her tracks. Little would she expect, in this vast airport, to collide with Lance as soon as she got off the plane.
