Chapter 37 Lady M

• A sense of uneasiness crept over Trevor as he gazed at Yvette, who chucked a stack of documents in front of him and sneered, "You've been tampering with Milligan Enterprises' finances for so long, and now you think you can just take the money without consequences?! That's not how things work!"
• Trevor's eyelids twitched uncontrollably as he picked up the documents and flipped through them, his face turning pale. What the other shareholders had never known was that he and the shareholder in charge of finance had been manipulating the financial statements, resulting in them pocketing much more money than they were entitled to. But over time, financial discrepancies inevitably arose, and in order to cover up the massive shortfall, Trevor had to continually expand and attract financing. Little did he know Yvette would suddenly appear and ruin everything.
