Chapter 46 The Wedding

• The next morning, Hannah felt her whole body aching, as though it was about to break apart. Pounding on her own back, she seriously felt that this could not go on; either she would die of exhaustion, or the baby in her womb wouldn’t be able to withstand such strong movements.
• When Demi called, Hannah was lying face down on the bed, while Mrs. Voss massaged her back. Noticing her occasional and inadvertent grunting, Demi asked, “What are you doing? Don’t tell me you’re doing something funny with Connor right now.”
• “Go to hell! I’m getting a massage now,” Hannah said.
