Chapter 242 A Secret Scheme

• Feeling as though she had been incredibly mistreated and deepening her loathing for Hannah and her son, Karla thought, It’s all their fault for stealing Connor. First, it was Hannah, then it’s Conan! Why can’t these two just disappear? With her hands clenched into tight fists, Karla maintained the stiff smile on her face.
• While Isabelle secretly blamed Connor for breaking his promise, she realized that the look on Karla’s face was getting more unpleasant. Hence, she came up with an excuse and made a call to Connor outside of the room. Previously, she had tried calling him countless times, but he didn’t pick up any of her calls. To make things worse, he even hung up on her when she last called. As she made the call this time without much hope, it unexpectedly started ringing instead of a dead dial tone, and someone actually picked up the call!
