Chapter 158 Never a Puppet

• Not long after the servant went inside to inform Susan of Hannah’s return, Susan quickly came out. When she saw Hannah, joy leaped within her eyes. “You’re finally back, Hannah! Everyone’s waiting for you.”
• Susan made a warm greeting, as if Hannah was a long-lost family member, but Hannah felt no love from her. All she could think of was the time Susan stood by and watched as Stephanie made her fall. Hannah stared at Susan without any expression until she felt awkward and stopped smiling. “Where did you take my grandmother to?” she asked slowly.
• Susan replied according to her scheme, “Oh, she’s taking care of Stephanie’s baby in the hospital. You don’t have to be in such a hurry, Hannah. You can see her after the checkup.” Susan was only playing nice because she needed Hannah’s bone marrow to save her grandchild, but she wouldn’t make life easy for Hannah, especially when Edith was involved. She wouldn’t hand Edith over that easily, or else Hannah would refuse to donate her bone marrow without a hostage.
