Chapter 43 Urgent Report

  • For hours, neither of the ministers said a word nor stepped forward to confess in using the royal seal and ordering the general to burn down Damiane village. Their feet started to ache as time passed as they still stood since no one dared take a seat while the king finished reading a few documents. With the news of the incident in the said village spreading like wildfire all throughout the kingdom, the king had been receiving reports of complaints. It was already something he expected upon hearing what happened in that village.
  • If he fails to address the issue as soon as he could, the possible occurrence of revolts would increase. And as he tries to settle the issue as fast as possible, he also wanted to find the culprit who started the problem. His suspect was no one but the prime minister, however, he could not just point his finger at him without acquiring a piece of solid evidence against him.
  • After reading the latest report of how Damiane village was doing, the king shook his head because no one was still speaking up. Putting down the last scroll on his table with much force, the ministers flinched as the loud bang echoed within the hall.
