Chapter 9 Finally Freed From My Dark Place

• BETA GANI’S POV
• I looked into the eyes of Alpha Theodore, hoping to see his inner thoughts, unfortunately he shut the link that would let other werewolves see through him.
• I saw a certain smirk that suddenly lined up on Alpha Theodore’s lips when he heard what I said.
• “If he is indeed interested to claim my daughter as his mate, where is he? Why did he need to send someone else?” the Alpha of the Green Meadows Pack asked with a lifted right eyebrow.
• I could not answer him at first for I know that he has a point. I thought not to answer him. Knowing my Alpha Eleo in this kind of situation, he will be using a bluffing technique. I know that Alpha Theodore, wanted much his daughter to be married to my Alpha, so that is what I am going to use to be succesful with my assignment.
• “It does not matter if one of the most powerful and wealthy Alphas in this realm is not here, but the mere fact that he sent me, his trusted Beta and friend to claim his mate is enough that you must be thankful for, Alpha Theodore. Nonetheless, if you would not want your daughter to marry, our beloved Alpha Eleo, then I guess I need to tell him so that he can continue his marriage proposal to the daughter of the Alpha of the West Moon pack. If you will excuse us then, Alpha Theodore. We have to go now, to inform our Alpha of this sad news,” I said then, with great hope that my tactic will work. I acted to turn my back.
• “Wait, Beta Gani. Please get inside, we can talk about this,” suddenly, Alpha Theodore said stopping me from walking away. I smiled triumphantly. My scheme worked! But I won’t give in to his order, I will not get inside his packhouse or office as I do not know what he is thinking. What if I could not come out alive therefrom? So, no, I will not follow him inside.
• “With due respect, Alpha Theodore, I cannot come inside your packhouse; I need to follow my Alpha’s order. Please ask your daughter to come out and join us in our journey back to our village. I will leave you a treasure box once she is with us already,” I said and motioned to my comrade beside me to get the wooden box with gold inside.
• Alpha Theodore feel silent, but a ray of sparkle suddenly overshadowed his two brown big eyes. I stand firm and unfazed.
• “If that is what you want, Beta Gani. Please wait here for a moment, I will check on with my daughter.” Alpha Theodore then turned his back and got inside his packhouse. I followed his back with a hidden smile. “Fool,” I thought, pertaining to the greedy Alpha of the Green Meadows Pack.
• When he returned after around twenty minutes, his daughter was still not with him. I looked at him, inquisitively. As if he grasped my inner thoughts, he smiled and said, “Adamantem, my daughter is just fixing some of her things. She will be out in a minute.”
• I nodded forcing a smile. In my mind, I could determine that maybe, they are still fixing Adamantem to look good and not obvious that she was being punished and abused in the past days.
• A few minutes later, a beautiful woman in her golden curls, slim yet sexy and a bit tall figure in her emerald long flowing dress, came walking, approaching us. Adamantem, finally came out!

• Adamantem’S POV
• “Adamantem!” I heard my Alpha Father’s voice outside of my dark and tiny room, the prison place that kept me insane for a couple of days already. Then I heard the clicking of my door’s lock and its opening thereafter.
• “My Alpha Father,” I murmured as I bowed my head when he entered with a flashlight, together with two of our warriors.
• “Go to your room and fix yourself. The Alpha of the Golden Valley Pack sent his Beta to pick you up. Make sure that you look presentable and happy when you face him!”
• My Alpha Father’s news suddenly made my heart and my wolf jumped with excitement. “Oh, goodness, so he heard my calls and pleadings then,” I thought happily.
• “Yes, Alpha father, thank you for that good news,” I replied joyfully. My Alpha Father just looked at me with an emotionless aura.
• “Go now! Quick and don’t make us wait for long,” he said again and was about to leave when I suddenly remembered my mother. I decided to bargain with my Alpha Father.
• “My Alpha Father, how about my mother? Can I please just bring her with me?” I asked him with my begging eyes. But all of a sudden his eyes squinted and he grabbed my hair and forced me to look at him.
• “If you want to get out of here, do not mention about your mother. Understand?!” he said hissing at me and I felt my whole world shut. I nodded slowly with tears wanting to peep in my eyes but I tried to control them from falling.
• “Yes, yes, Alpha father,” I said stammering. I will not argue more. I will not make a reason further that might hinder my freedom from this dark place.
• “Go then as I ordered you before I change my mind, Adamantem!” he said growling before he marched out of the underground room.
• One of the two warriors who accompaneid my Alpha father, guided me out of my prison place and accompanied me in going to my room. He stayed outside of my room’s door to guard while I fixed myself and prepare my few necessary things and put it in a small black daffodil bag.
• “Alpha Eleo, I am coming. Thank you for listening to me,” I murmured, my heart was swelling with excitement. In my mind, I promised to be a good mate to Alpha Eleo nad make sure to pleasure him and make him happy.
• As I got out of my room, I grabbed my mother’s photo in a small frame that I put on my side table, put it inside my daffodil bag and whispered,“Mom, wait for me, I will come back to get you and save you from my Alpha father’s cruelty.”
• When I walked out of our packhouse’s main door, I immediately saw the man who was beside Alpha Eleo at the hotel when I acted to have fainted. He was looking at me unperturbed. My heart hammered as I know, in just a few hours, I will be meeting my mate again. “Oh, Alpha Eleo, I am excited to see you, soonest,” I thought as I quickened my steps.
