Chapter 5 Locked And Forsaken

  • I
  • Adamantem’s POV
  • “Alpha Father,” I said as I immediately sat up when he approached me. Anger was clearly shown in his eyes and I felt my soul deserted me. I know what will happen next and I call on Alpha Eleo once again. I tried to mind-link him.
  • “Alpha Eleo, help me please,” I pleaded, hoping my words could reach his mind. But my frustrations grew more when he never replied.
  • “Get up Adamantem, we are going home,” my Alpha Father said again, and then I noticed Luna Betty at his back, smirking at me.
  • My Alpha Father and Luna Betty walked ahead fast, leaving me on the couch. I scampered to my feet and followed them to our waiting limousine outside of the hotel.
  • The moment, I entered our limousine, my Alpha Father already cursed me.
  • “What did you do there, Adamantem?! Did you just brought more embarasment into my name?!” he said angrily as he turned his back to give me a sharp look.
  • I did not reply, instead, I just bowed my head and tried to call on Alpha Eleo again, but to no avail.
  • “I heard she called out loud the name of Alpha Eleo while chasing him and then acted to have fainted in front of him. But her act was not good enough that Alpha Eleo mocked her and left her.” It was Luna Betty who voluntered an answer to my father, and then her laughter exploded inside the limousine. She laughed like crazy that angered my father more.
  • I could not say any word because what Luna Betty had said was actually true. All I want is to disappear right now not only out of embarassment but more so of fear. I am afraid not only for my life but also of my mother, who has been suffering for so long already.
  • When we arrived at our packhouse, my father immediately got out of the limousine, and opened the door on my side. I thought he cared enough to open the door for me, but what I never expected was when he grabbed my hair and dragged me inside the packhouse, not minding even when I screamed with pain.
  • “Alpha Father, let me go, I am sorry, I was not able to do what you wanted, forgive me father,” I begged from him while crying. His hand on my hair was like a steel. My skull screamed in pain everytime he would dragged me through my hair.
  • “You are an inutil, worthless bitch! You could not even make yourself getting laid down by a man! Do you even have any worth if you could not do even a simple thing like that?!” My Alpha Father was fuming with anger as he continued to drag my hair.
  • My fear grew more when he dragged me, down the stairs of the dark underground, where I found my mother being hidden too, twelve years ago.
  • “No father, please, have pity on me. Do not lock me here,” I was begging so hard while my tears fall like rivulets. Just like my mother, what kind of life would I have if I will be stocked in this place forever?
  • My Alpha father pushed me inside a small room. I know where my mother was hidden twelve years ago and it was on the other side of this dark underground area. I could only sob when he locked the door of the room and left me there.
  • “Mother! Mother! Can you hear me?!” I shouted, hoping that my Mother is still being kept in the room on the other side, but I heard no response from her. It made me weep more.

  • ALPHA ELEO’S POV
  • “Alpha Eleo, what if that daughter of Alpha Theodore was telling the truth? That her life is at risk because she is being abused by her cruel father?” Beta Gani asked me after maybe noticing that I have been restless after meeting the Barbie like daughter of the Alpha of the Green Meadows Pack. Indeed, I am becoming restless. I could still hear her voice as she pleaded for my help for several times, which I just ignored. I could still vividly remember her tears when she begged for me to take her, away from his father’s cruelty.
  • I shook my head instead as I looked at him. “I know Alpha Theodore as greedy and despises his previous Luna and his daughter to her. But I am not convince that he is cruel enough to hurt his daughter physically. Maybe emotionally, yes, but physically, I still doubt it. It might be a ploy by Alpha Theodore so that they could hook me.”
  • Beta Gani gave me a penetrating look as he darted his eyes at me. “I heard the young woman said that she is your mate, Alpha Eleo. Is it true? Is she telling the truth?”
  • I nodded at him. I could not lie. Beta Gani is not only my Beta, but he is also my cousin and my best friend.
  • “For Moon Goddess sake, why did you not try to understand what was going on with her? She is your mate and you know for a fact that as an Alpha, meeting your real mate means more power and strength for you. Besides, would it not pain you if you will find out that it is indeed true that her life is at risk? Would it not worry you at all?” Now my Beta Gani is speaking to me not as my Beta but as my cousing and my best friend. He is giving sermon now. Anyhow, Beta Gani is older than me of about two years, so sometimes, I really listen to his wisdom.
  • I shook my head again. “You think this is easy for me, Beta Gani? I could also feel that she is my mate and I wanted to protect her. But, of course accepting her as my mate and making her as my Luna, would means an assumed acceptance of alliance to his greedy Alpha Father.”
  • “I understand your predicament, Alpha Eleo. But which is more important? Your mate’s safety or your pride not to be used by other Alpha in their greediness for more wealth and power?”
  • “I could not decide on that yet,” I simply replied at him. I am actually confused. This is the first time that I, the mighty Alpha Eleo became restless and more so confused because of a woman!
  • “Listen, Alpha Eleo, before I asked you my first question a while ago, I already had an information about your mate. Her name is Adamantem, according to my source, who is one of the guards at the Green Meadows Pack, she has been maltreated by his Alpha father and by her step mom since her younger years. Her mother has been missing since she was six years old… and listen more to this . . . When you rejected her …”
  • “I did not reject her, for goodness sake,” I interrupted Beta Gani.
  • “Alright, you did not reject her directly, but you refused to accept her as your mate. What is the difference between the two?”
  • “It is different for me, Beta Gani. What were you saying a while ago, by the way?”
  • Beta Gani shot me with a deep look. “When you refused to accept her as your mate, his father became so furious of her, calling her an inutil and worthless bitch and worst, she was locked up down the packhouse’s dark underground area.”
  • I could fell my blood rising as I was hearing every word stated by Beta Gani. “What the hell, are you talking about Beta Gani?! Is that true?”
  • “Yes. My source is a friend of mine and he will not lie to me.”
  • “Gaddamit!” I spewed some air in my lungs. At this very moment, I wanted to kill the Alpha of the Green Meadows Pack!
