Chapter 10 Meeting Him Again

  • Adamantem’S POV
  • I walked faster as I saw the Beta of the Golden Valley Pack waiting for me. Beside him is a young warrior holding a big wooden box.
  • I stopped beside my father and bowed my head,waiting for him to give me an instruction.
  • “Can we go now, Alpha Theodore?” Beta Gani asked when he saw me stopped beside my father. Warrior, give the wooden box to the Alpha of the Green Meadows Pack,” he added as he tilted his head to the warrior beside him, motioning to him to put the wooden box in front of my Alpha Father.
  • My Alpha father, ordered one of his own warriors to open the wooden box and his eyes glow in delight when he saw the pieces of shining gold inside. He looked at me with a certain wickedness in his eyes. I could determine that my Alpha Father could guess that the Alpha of the Gold Valley Pack wanted me too, considering the value of the gift that he sent in exchange for me.
  • I was then surprised when my Alpha father suddenly announced, “If your great Alpha Eleo has no time to come to my village to personally fetch his mate, I, the Alpha Father of the woman he likes will be the one to come to his village to lay down my terms, before he could finally get my daughter. I will accompany you in going back to the Golden Valley Pack’s village, together with my best warriors.”
  • Automatically, my head turned to my father’s side confused, then I looked at the Beta of the Golden Valley Pack. I saw how his jaw clenched and his eyes squinted. He fell silent for a while. May be he was contemplating for his decision before replying to my Alpha Father.
  • “If that is what you want Alpha Theodore, then you can come with us.” I heard the Beta of the Golden Valley Pack said after a while.I glanced at my Alpha father, whose face suddenly glow and a smile cracked from his vicious lips. I shut my mind not wanting to think what my greedy Alpha Father is planning. All I did was to pray, wishing that he would not ruin the chance I have now to be with Alpha Eleo and be away from his cruel hands.
  • We traveled in convoy. My Alpha Father’s troop following the troop of the Beta of the Golden Valley Pack. I was told to take a comfortable ride inside the luxurious carriage brought by the troop of the Beta of the Golden Valley Pack. It is a carriage fitted for a Queen. I smiled thinking that the Alpha of the Golden Valley Pack is now treating me with specialty.
  • As we go along with our journey, I could not hide my excitement. I peeped into the window of the carriage and saw the greeneries and mountains, including trees and other beauties of nature that we passed through. Thereafter, I could see, animals, the clouds, few houses, views pointing to the seaside and a lot more.
  • More than two hours after, as I could guess, I felt my carriage made a slower phase of movements. I peeped in its window again and saw a wide, tall and marvelous type of village gate, elegantly landscaped front view with an arc-like design on top of its golden gate with the signage of the Village name and a monument of a big golden Wolf. It is a big village patterned after a modern cattle ranch, farm place but with all the luxurious amenities in the world. The place is well protected; the whole place has been surrounded with guards in uniform with guns in their holsters. We then passed through simple houses then we ended in a castle like structure, which I guess is the packhouse of the Golden Valley Pack.

  • I saw the Beta of the Golden Valley Pack alighted from his horse and while his main stayed still. He got inside the castle like packhouse and we waited for a while for his return. When he got back, he was with Alpha Eleo beside him already. I could feel my heart dribbled when I saw him again. He is such a stunning man, wearing a dark blue polo shirt and a khaki trousers. His Beta went straight to the horse where my Alpha Father was still sitting on its back and I heard him, said, “Our Alpha Eleo is inviting you, Alpha Theodore to come in, together with your daughter, Adamantem.”
  • Thereafter, I saw my father alighted from his horse and a warrior from the line of the Golden Valley Pack’s warriors, walked toward my carriage. I fixed my hair and tried to pacify the fast beating of my heart. When the door of my carriage opened and saw the face of the warrior from the Golden Valley Pack, I made a deep breath first, before I gracefully climbed down from my vehicle.
  • I stood still while my eyes became fixed on the gorgeous Alpha of the Golden Valley Pack with my breathing getting erratical.
  • “Madam, please walk forward. Our Alpha Eleo is waiting for you at the front door of the packhouse.” I was brought back to my senses when I heard the warrior spoke.I nodded and started to make shaking steps toward Alpha Eleo, while my Alpha father looked at me with a devious smile.
  • When I came near the presence of Alpha Eleo, I bowed my head a bit, ashamed to look directly into his eyes.
  • “Look at me woman and don’t try act being ashamed with what you do during the Wolf Clan Conference. Let me look at you,” I heard his deep, authoritative voice seeking into my ears. I slowly moved my head up and looked into his deep brown eyes, which were dancing in mischief. His one eyebrow has been lifted while shooting me with an unfathomable look.
  • “Did you come here, in your own free will and volition?” he asked suddenly that surprised me.
  • “Of course. I came here without anyone forcing me. I came here because I wanted to see you again, Alpha Eleo,” I answered almost exclaiming, only to realize thereafter how I just gave myself away, letting him feel outright my eagerness to be with him.
  • I saw the sudden smirk on his face and the squinting of his eyes, thereafter.
