• When did he even become this close to Adele? Daniel had no idea. But then, the instant she called him on the phone and started weeping, the next thing he did was drag her ass to wherever she was. Of course, Daniel didn’t come alone because Victor trailed after him, especially after seeing him run out of his office like a madman.
• Daniel could not explain it, but at first, it had been simply admiration for Adele. Out of his family members, she was the only one he shared some sort of connection to. Both of them were outcasts – he was the son of the monster, Caden who everyone dreaded while she was the bastard daughter.
