• Clara was startled awake as soon as she heard footsteps. Left alone and with nothing to do for the past hour, she fell asleep out of boredom. Hence, you could imagine how she felt to wake up only to see Daniel right in front of her, her heart nearly jumping out of her chest.
• He snuck up on her like a ghost and Clara came to a startling realization that if Daniel wanted her dead, she would be long gone by now. And Daniel must have sensed what she was thinking because there was an arrogant smirk at the corner of his lips and that pissed her off greatly.
• Daniel pulled down the gag he used to shut her mouth and Clara glared at him, flexing her sore jaw.
