Chapter 27 The Pastry Shop

• It took an hour from Silvercrest to the nearest town, Naechester. Just like when Ciara first got into Scott’s car, her expression as the car glided into the city center of Naechester amused him. She was so excited like a kid being taken to a playground.
• “You look happy,” Scott said teasingly.
• Ciara seemed too elated to realize that he was teasing her. Her window was still wide open, but she no longer leaned out. Scott told her not to stick body parts out because they were now in fairly heavy traffic.
