Chapter 7 I Am The Luna Queen
- Trinia entered Vanessa's room with a heavy sigh. As she stepped inside, she noticed a muscular man carrying her luggage, while another man was removing all the pictures of Vanessa from the walls. Trinia discreetly searched the room, hoping to find the green book she had seen in her dreams. Just two days ago, she had been declared fine and informed that she would be moved from the servants' quarters on the east side of the mansion to the west side, where Ansel's room was located. Trinia couldn't help but feel suspicious about the sudden relocation. Initially, she thought Ansel knew about the green book and didn't want her to find it. However, since he hadn't mentioned the book, Trinia began to consider other possibilities.
- She was eager to uncover what might have changed Ansel's attitude towards her and why he would move her from one small room to another. Trinia's thoughts were consumed with curiosity about the contents of the green book and why Vanessa had wanted her to find it. As she searched, she made sure to avoid raising any suspicions from the men working in the room. Whenever they turned to face her, she pretended to be lost in thought, staring at the wall.
- "I will miss this beautiful wall," Trinia lightly touched the wall when the men turned away for the third time. "I can't believe I'm leaving this place," she sniffled, pretending to cry. She covered her face with her hands, staring down. "Idiots," she muttered under her breath. While her gaze was fixed downward, her eyes wandered to the tiny bed, and there she spotted a book hidden beneath it. It was the green book she had been searching for. Trinia's face lit up with a bright smile as she looked up. "What should I do?" she whispered to herself. Glancing at the men who were preoccupied with their work, Trinia's eyes widened when one of them attempted to approach the bed. Reacting swiftly, she ran towards the bed and jumped on it, pretending to sob.
- "Oh, it's so sad that I'm leaving this bed," Trinia tossed and turned on the bed, wiping imaginary tears from her face. "What a melancholic existence!"
- "Your Highness," the man bowed his head and pointed to the bed. "The king instructed me to dispose of the bed," he informed her.
- Trinia stopped him with a raised hand. "Just a moment, please," she said, wiping away her tears. "I just need a minute to bid farewell to the bed," she climbed off the bed and looked underneath. Retrieving the green book, she discreetly tucked it inside her dress and stood up. "I can't stay here any longer," she declared tearfully, running out of the room. Once she was safely outside, Trinia burst into laughter, retrieving the book from its hiding place. "Found it!"
- "What did you find?" Ansel's voice echoed as he appeared from the left side of the hallway.
- "Oh, God!" Trinia exclaimed, placing a hand on her chest and concealing the book behind her back. "How do you manage to appear everywhere like a ghost? You almost gave me a heart attack!"
- Ansel furrowed his brows, observing Trinia's nervous demeanor and the hidden object behind her back. "What are you hiding there?" he demanded.
- Trinia scoffed, tucking her hair behind her ear and forcing a smile. "Whatever I'm doing is none of your business, Your Highness," she retorted through gritted teeth.
- "It is my concern because I am the king, and you are my mate," Ansel asserted, stepping closer to her as Trinia instinctively took a step back. "Tell me what you're hiding, Vanessa," he demanded once more.
- Trinia gulped visibly as Ansel brought his face closer to hers, his breath grazing her skin. Her mind raced, desperately searching for an escape plan. She opened her mouth to speak, but at that moment, one of the men emerged from the room, diverting Ansel's attention. "Your Highness, the room is almost empty," he announced.
- Seizing the opportunity, Trinia pushed past Ansel and swiftly made her escape. "Halt!" Ansel ordered, but Trinia paid no heed, turning back to face him and laughing. "This is all your fault!" Ansel accused the man who had interrupted their confrontation. "She is hiding something," he claimed, giving chase to Trinia.
- Trinia stood in awe as she was led into her new room. Her jaw dropped at the sight of its immense beauty. The room was three times the size of her previous quarters back at her own home. "This is incredible!" she exclaimed, marveling at her surroundings. The walls were painted a regal purple, and the marble floors added a touch of luxury.
- "That's right, Your Highness," Aneeka, a blonde woman who had guided her to the room, smiled warmly.
- Trinia paid little attention to Aneeka, her focus drawn to a large dressing mirror. She gazed at her reflection for a moment, her thoughts lingering on Vanessa. Placing the green book she had hidden under her dress onto the table, she remarked, "I'll read this later," before continuing to explore the room. Trinia's eyes landed on the magnificent bed. "This bed is exquisite," she commented, lying down and closing her eyes, reveling in its comfort. Unlike the tiny bed in her previous room, this one was fit for a king. "This is beyond amazing!" she exclaimed, fluttering her eyes open to admire the golden chandelier hanging from the ceiling. "How can I adapt to this life when I have no idea who you are or what you have faced?"
- "Your Highness," Aneeka approached her. "If you need any information, feel free to ask. The king has instructed me to serve you to the best of my abilities," she bowed respectfully.
- Trinia looked at her with confusion etched on her face. She had no recollection of this woman and had merely followed her when informed that she would be taken to her new room. "And who are you...?" Trinia scratched her forehead, pretending to recognize her.
- "I am Aneeka, Your Highness, your new servant," Aneeka bowed her head.
- "My servant?" Trinia pointed to herself, her brows furrowed. "How did I end up with a servant?" she wondered, amazed by Aneeka's presence.
- "Because you are the Luna Queen," Aneeka replied.
- "The Luna Queen?" Trinia had heard the term countless times, but she had no understanding of why she was referred to as such. "Please, sit beside me, Aneeka," Trinia gestured to the spot on the bed next to her.
- "How could I, a mere servant, sit..." Aneeka began to decline but stopped herself when Trinia reached out and pulled her down beside her.
- "You can sit here," Trinia assured her with a smile.
- Aneeka reciprocated the smile and nodded. "Thank you, Your Highness."
- Trinia continued, "So, I lost my memory temporarily due to an accident, and I need to know some information about myself. Will you help me?"
- "Yes, Your Highness," Aneeka replied.
- "Who am I? I need information about myself," Trinia requested.
- Aneekasighed and turned to face Trinia. "Your Highness, you are the Luna Queen."
- "And...?" Trinia prompted, eager for more details.
- "The title of Luna Queen is a great honor, as you rule alongside the Alpha King, who governs all the werewolves," Aneeka explained.
- "Werewolves?" Trinia's confusion grew. While she had read about werewolves in books and seen them in movies, she never thought they could exist in real life. "Wait, are you telling me that real werewolves exist?"
- Aneeka nodded. "Yes, Your Highness. Werewolves are real, and you, as a witch, are mated to the Alpha King."
- "So, Ansel is a werewolf?" Trinia inquired.
- "It is against tradition to mention the king's name like that," Aneeka warned, glancing towards the door. "Regardless of your position, speaking his name freely is not something that is taken lightly."
- Trinia shrugged her shoulders dismissively. "I don't care about that. What I need to know is more about werewolves and my role as the Luna Queen."
- Aneeka hesitated for a moment, glancing towards the door once again. "I'm not supposed to share this information, Your Highness, but you seem genuinely curious, and I sense no ill intentions," she said cautiously. "Before you arrived, you were an outcast, despised by the king and the Noble Consort, who is the king's favored companion."
- Trinia scoffed and directed her gaze towards the dressing table, where the green book lay. The answers she sought were within those pages, waiting to reveal the true nature of Vanessa. Trinia understood that her new servant would not divulge much information, as it could jeopardize her safety. "So, I should be wary of the Noble Consort, then?" Trinia asked.
- "Yes, Your Highness," Aneeka confirmed, smiling warmly. "I am glad that you can now communicate more clearly, Your Highness."
- Trinia returned the smile and playfully ruffled Aneeka's hair. "I believe everything will be fine," she reassured her. "I don't intend to be a bad person." Trinia pulled Aneeka closer to the bed, and they both sat down.
- "I hope not, Your Highness," Aneeka said, her voice filled with relief. "You seem kind-hearted. I apologize if I have caused you any annoyance. Please, punish me if necessary."
- Trinia facepalmed, immediately lifting Aneeka from the ground. "There's no need for that, Aneeka," Trinia said. "I am not here to punish anyone. I am not a bad person." She guided Aneeka to sit beside her on the bed.
- "I am sorry, Your Highness," Aneeka said, tears welling up in her eyes. "I feel sorry for you, truly."
- "Don't worry, Aneeka," Trinia reassured her, rubbing her shoulder gently. "I believe everything will be fine."
- "Yes, Your Highness," Aneeka replied, still visibly emotional.
- Trinia leaned back against the headboard, her mind filled with questions and uncertainties. "I am the Luna Queen," she muttered to herself, trying to comprehend the weight of her newfound title.
