Chapter 16 Talks At The Table

• The following morning, Trinia walked elegantly to the royal dining hall accompanied by Aneeka and her other maidservants. After what happened the night before, Trinia had wanted to ignore Ansel's summon but she had no option but to respond to his order. As she walked into the dining hall, she expected to see Alexa but she was nowhere to be found. "Your beloved isn't here," Trinia commented as she walked toward the table.
• "It's you and I today," Ansel spoke from the center of the table. "Have a seat," he pointed to the chair on his left side for Trinia to sit down. Trinia bowed her head and sat down.
• "So, why did you invite me for breakfast?" Trinia asked making sure that she didn't exchange looks with Ansel. She was too embarrassed to face him after what happened the night before.
