Chapter 5 Everything Is All Right Now
- “Yeah, Serena, just have a couple of drinks with Mr. Trey and apologize. That should settle it.”
- “Benjamin, if you're planning on going down, don't drag us with you.” The striking woman voiced out.
- Trey didn't act immediately. Given Benjamin's surname was Zabel and the significant influence of the Zabel family in Jexburgh, he hesitated. With an air of arrogance, he said, “So you're Benjamin. Do you know who I am? I'm close to Mr. Tristan, who's worth billions. Do you dare to oppose me?”
- “So what?” Benjamin said nonchalantly. “Even if your precious Mr. Tristan stood before me, he'd be nothing more than a speck of dust. What does that make you?”
- “Benjamin!” Harvey rebuked.
- “He surely has a death wish.”
- “Don't drag us down with you. You're acting as if you're the eldest son of the Zabel family. We're not in Jexburgh, mind you!”
- “Are you an idiot?” Zachary yelled, completely forgetting the humiliation of being knocked to the ground earlier.
- Trey laughed coldly, a fierce expression crossing his face. “You're arrogantly overconfident. Even the children of the Zabel family wouldn't dare to show such disrespect to Mr. Tristan.”
- “I've already told you, whether it's Mr. Tristan or the Zabel family, they're just specks of dust to me,” Benjamin sneered. “And you? You're merely Mr. Tristan's lapdog. What do you even matter?”
- “He must have lost his mind.” Henry swallowed in fear.
- Serena's eyes were filled with confusion. Is he really Benjamin?
- “Kid, you've got some nerve. I haven't come across someone as audacious as you in a long time. Hit him. Teach him a lesson he will never forget!” Trey was seething, his veins popping.
- The two men by his side were ready, their fists clenched as they rushed forward. They had a background in fighting and were fairly capable, yet to Benjamin, their efforts were akin to those of children throwing punches.
- Although he was only at the third level of Initial Realm and couldn't use divine techniques, he felt rejuvenated as his body had been nourished by spiritual energy. His constitution had drastically transformed, with his speed, strength, bone structure, and explosive power all surpassing that of an average person.
- Benjamin seized Trey's wrist and twisted it downward with force. A swift kick to Trey's chest sent him sprawling to the ground. A sharp snap echoed as his arm dislocated instantly.
- The other two burly men lunged at him simultaneously, yet they were swiftly knocked to the ground by Benjamin's powerful punches.
- Henry, Harvey, Zachary, and the striking woman stood wide-eyed, mouths agape, unable to believe what they were seeing. Since when did Benjamin become such a formidable fighter?
- Benjamin pinned Trey's hand to the table and said, “Don't say I never gave you a chance. Now, apologize to my wife.”
- “Apologize? In your dreams! So what if you can fight? Do you really think you can take on dozens of us? We have combat arts practitioners too!” Trey gritted his teeth, glaring at Benjamin, refusing to believe he would dare to touch him.
- “I've already given you a chance,” said Benjamin as he picked up a fork. Focusing his energy, he drove it straight through Trey's palm and the tabletop.
- Trey let out a heart-wrenching scream, blood gushing everywhere. The pain was so intense that it brought tears to his eyes.
- “I was wrong. Please... stop. I'm sorry, Ms. Yates. It's my fault. I was blind,” pleaded Trey.
- Ignoring the stunned, cold-hearted relatives, Benjamin took Serena's hand and said, “Serena, let's go home.”
- Henry and the others swallowed hard, struggling to believe what they were seeing. It was as if Benjamin had transformed into an entirely different person.
- “Mr. Trey, are you all right?” The two lackeys immediately stepped forward, intending to help Trey remove the fork.
- Trey clutched his wrist, bleeding heavily, but his eyes gleamed with malice. “Benjamin, just you wait!”
- As Benjamin pulled Serena out, she came to her senses and looked at her hand in his. For a moment, she felt a strong sense of support and unwavering strength.
- Benjamin hesitated for a moment, then released her hand and smiled. “Everything's all right now.”
- “Um, thank you,” Serena said, her eyes shimmering as she looked at him. She felt an odd sense of unfamiliarity toward her husband, with whom she had been living for three months. “Trey is one of Mr. Tristan's men. If you humiliate and injure him like this, Mr. Tristan will surely seek revenge. Maybe you should return to Jexburgh to lay low for a while!”
- “There's no need for that,” Benjamin said with a casual smile. “As I mentioned, they're just specks of dust to me. Besides, I believe I now have the strength to protect you.”
- Serena furrowed her delicate brows, observing the confidence radiating from Benjamin, and remained silent. I'm not sure when you learned combat arts, but if you hope to stand out, fighting skills alone won't suffice. Networking and background are just as important, if not more so.
- Upon returning home, Benjamin immediately retreated to his room to continue cultivating, only emerging when it was time for dinner.
- Wendy, who was in her fifties, said with a smile, “Mr. Benjamin, Ms. Yates is waiting for you at the dining table for dinner.”
- “Okay.” Benjamin moved to the dining table where a simple meal was laid out.
