Chapter 42 At Dawn, Huldra Was In The Forest Stretching Her Legs
- In the forest, near Vilkas' herd, an exhausted woman was running, thirsty; she felt her body couldn't take any more. Although she was a witch, she had not escaped the malice of a malicious wolf who had caught her off guard and punished her to serve as a slave in his bed. She ran aimlessly, out of breath. Tired and sightless, she threw herself at the foot of an old oak tree.
- At dawn, Huldra was in the forest stretching her legs. She ran at full speed to the edge of the herd and climbed a mountain. Maya took over to watch the sunrise. After standing there for a long time, just as she was about to turn around, she noticed tracking dogs in the distance coming towards her.
- "Who were they looking for?" He turned his eyes to one side and saw a woman lying at the foot of an old oak tree. He hurried down the mountain. When he reached her height, he crouched down. She looked dead. He took her hand and put two fingers on her wrist. He realized that she was alive. He quickly grabbed her left arm and put it behind her neck. She stood up and Maya put her right hand on her waist to help her walk.
