Chapter 8 New Focus

• Even though Queen Alice could not be at the ceremony of her son becoming King of Aither, she is more than elate.
• The whole palace of Silverbell is in the festive mood as many has been invite to share the great news which is a great progress of victory for their Kingdom.
• King Edward beams as he keep drowning down on cups of wine at his son big achievement, Eris stand right at his left side and also keep her smile dress in a pretty cloth.
• Not only is it a happy news for Silverbell it is her personal victory to be able to get her claws back on King Edward’s neck after he had released her from being banished owing to her successful plan of taking over Aither.
• Not only has she survive death but she has been restore back to her position after a long while.
• She could feel people eye slapping her as the rumor has spread to the towns and cities but she keep her head high and smile without default.
• She has allowed herself to lose focus before and only desired to get Prince Michael for herself while also having the King.
• However seeing her friend and confidant, Princess Emma achieving her big goal by becoming Queen now, she realize her stupidity.

• Princess Isabella walk in looking extra in the new dress she has handmade for herself with her baby girl in her hands.
• The crown she has on the baby’s head is big enough to crush her little neck but she didn’t mind her discomfort and want to show her off as the only grand-heir.
• As she walk in her presence isn’t notice until the baby start to make sounds as Isabella give a bit of a pinch and smile as people turn to her.
• Fair enough, she has been asked to stay back at the palace to take care of her baby not after making a dramatic scene of killing herself when the baby was taken away from her after the birth.
• “Your Majesty” she greet the King with a good bow and show her baby Charlotte to him.
• Since the birth of her baby, the King hasn’t request to see her neither the baby and she is starting to lose it.
• King Edward stare at the baby whose cry is disturbing the celebration and frown his face in disgust and upset at Isabella for coming out with her. It would only bring people to remember the ugly incident that had just been covered up with the new of Prince Michael’s success.
• “I thought I asked you not to leave your quarters” he glare at her and turn to Queen Alice who is already unease and upset at Isabella.
• “I will send her back Your Majesty” she quickly get up and signal two aides to bring Princess Isabella back.
• Isabella did not bother to fight it as she has gotten what she want, now she know how useless her daughter has become to her.
• She thought she would be able to give birth to a boy but fate cheated her and gave her this useless child instead. And she has also become a widow.
• The aides let go of her as they get out of the ceremony hall and she inhale sharply to stay calm not to throw the baby on the floor.
• Princess Brenda who has seen the awful scene rush to meet up with Isabella with a bowl of cherries in her hands.
• “Isabella, are you okay?” she ask and turn to cuss at the aides while checking to see if she is okay.
• Isabella thrust her hands away from her body in anger and push her off without a warning, the plate of fruits fall from her hand and scatter all over the floor.
• “Just because I have fallen doesn’t mean your victory” she bash passing out her aggression.
• “Soon, you will also be cast out and lose everything like I did” she let out and walk out angrily holding the child carelessly.
• When she get back to her quarters, she throw her on the bed while she let out a loud cry and she scream out angrily her veins all out in rage.
• All she could think of is strangling the child to avenge her hate on Prince Anthony for the misfortune he has brought her but she can not do anything to her.
• The child is her only permit to continue living in the palace and sooner or later, the King would realize that her child is going to be the only grand-heir he would ever have.
• “Why do you keep adding weight?” Queen Alice cry bitterly snapping at Princess Brenda who is trembling.
• She has just make her strip and it seem there is no improvement for the past few weeks, no matter how much she starve her to make her lose weight, she just keep gaining more.
• “What have you been doing?” Queen Alice turn to the two maids she has assign her and they go on their knees immediately.
• “Have you been giving her food behind my back?”
• “No Your Majesty” they chorus.
• “Then why is she still fat and useless?” she yell angrily and Brenda wish to disappear from sight.
• There are few maids who serve the Queen in the second room and they can hear all the rebuke words against her. They could even see her naked body if they pry further.
• “I will have to speak to Prince Ian and tonight I want you to go to the aides for preparation for tonight”
• Brenda nod her head and bend down to wear her dress up, her maids hurry to help her and together they left with bows to Queen Alice.
• Princess Brenda hurry her feet to her quarters to meet Prince Ian before the Queen’s message get to him and bump her head into him at the entrance.
• “Oh my God, why is your head so big?” he cried in annoyance and push her out of the way to leave but Brenda drag him back.
• “I need to talk to you” she said pleadingly
• “My mother request my presence” he said and push her hands off without waiting he left for the Queen’s quarters
• Princess Brenda grunt angrily and kick her fists in the air after him, she go inside for a rest from all the chaos that has befallen her ever since the bad incident and her eyes well up.
• Ever since the death of Prince Anthony and Prince Michael’s ascension, she has been put under pressure to be with child and the Queen has been keen on her neck.
• She is made to face unspeakable torture from the Queen’s aides and starve in order to save her from overweight and high her chances of becoming with a heir soon.
• “Don’t be sad now Your Highness, The Prince has also been under too much stress with the new lessons and courses”
• “Why don’t you have a quick snack before the aides come tonight?”
• Princess Brenda grab the snack and munch away feeling really hungry, she will really be glad to finally be with a child but the new change and attention is becoming overwhelming and slowly killing her.
