Chapter 3 A Prince To The Rescue

• By the time Michael made it to the palace, he find out that it has been intruded and hurry his steps with the soldiers with him.
• After making a deal with his father, he has successfully bring soldiers with him to help defend the kingdom in battle.
• And as soon as he heard that Princess Claire might be in danger, he rushes with soldiers to save her and the rest of the royal family.
• The soldiers move fast to capture and kill the attackers while Michael find his way into Claire’s quarters under the moon light.
• Princess Claire tread carefully with pounding heart after managing to escape another soldier and sustain a cut on her leg.
• As she drag her bleeding leg trying to find a safe place to at least stop the bleeding and take a breather before continuing again.
• Just as she approach the pavilion at the crown prince’s quarters which she know would be quieter and safer, she notice some figures approaching from inside the main room and halt.
• Prince Eli notice her from the distance and clench tight to his sword riled, he has come to kill the little brat but find the place to be empty.
• It seem the bratty Crown prince has been hidden before his arrival and seeing his prideful sister, he could only direct his anger at her.
• There are two men with Prince Eli and Claire knew that she has no chance against them, she quickly turn back and forget about hos hurting her leg is.
• She run back to the direction where she was coming from and Prince Eli immediately follow after her with the two soldiers.
• The silk long night gown get into her open cut and she yelp out before stumbling hard, she roll over and hit a statue.
• She did not have time to mourn her crush back as Prince Eli is now standing in front of her with maliciously gaze.
• “Where is your bratty brother?” he demanded
• “I don’t have a bratty brother” she resorted and try to search for her sword without losing his gaze.
• “Still rude huh, Princess?”
• “You won’t get what you want if you kill me” she told him and try to grab something.
• Prince Eli scoff at her arrogance and raise up his sword to slay her, but the shoot on his men halt him and make him turn around to see what is going on.
• Prince Michael pull the trigger again and send Eli down with a loud groan, he rush to help Claire who has a bit of Prince Eli’s blood splatter on her.
• “Are you okay?” his eyes asked with concern and he check her all over to see if she is injured.
• When he see the cut on her leg, he immediately call for assistance and Claire did not resist but allow herself in to his arms while he take her back to her room.
• The bleeding is stop and she is feed pain relief medicine to ease the pain.
• However, Claire could not keep her eyes away from Michael and keep staring until she is catch and look away in pretense.
• Since the night he left Aither after their big argument and demand for divorce, but here he is looking tenderly at her and pretending that nothing happened.
• “Why did you come?” she finally let out unable to bear her curiosity and wonder if he would say it is because of her, to protect her perhaps
• Prince Michael ignore her question and help restore light to the room, he could not bring himself to talk about his intent right now and because of the situation of things between them, he might be misunderstand.
• “I will go help the others” he said and walk out not sparing her a glance.
• Claire notice his uneasiness and know that something is going on, she get out of bed after he leaves and go to her closet, she search for the king’s seal that she has kept in there and decide it is time to keep it somewhere far away from the palace.
• When Roseline hear the sound of guns, she realize that her plan has failed and the enemies she had brought in has been captured.
• Not wasting any more second, she hurry to pack her things inside a suitcase and pack her jewelries first, she pack few clothes so it won’t slow her down on the unknown designate journey and put on her cloak.
• She peep through her door to see if anyone is around, not catching a glimpse of anyone, she close the door behind her and walk discreetly while looking around like a hawk.
• Just as she try to get to the gates of the palace, she notice the soldiers from Silverbell are beginning to guard the gates and it would be impossible for her to get out.
• Roseline quickly back out from there and thought to go through the place where she had sneaked the soldiers in, it leads to the north part of the kingdom which is said to be a dangerous place but she does not have much of a choice.
• However, thankfully she has the original map of the kingdom with her and it would help her to find her way to Mana kingdom.
• Claire has two guards with her to check on which member of the royal family would be trying to flee and coincidentally, she sight Roseline who is looking like a rabbit walking briskly.
• “Seize her” she ordered the soldiers with her and that alert Roseline.
• Seeing Claire from distances away, she start to make a run for it and in the process, her precious suitcase fill with jewelries fall from her hands as she trip.
• She left the suitcase and run for her life as the soldiers chase earnest after her and manage to escape by throwing rock as she made it to the secluded place and push the pillar holding the old building with all her might letting it collapse and forcing the soldiers to halt for the sake of their lives.
• “I will be back Claire” she sworn as she take a last look at the walls of the palace and continue her run.
• “If I see you again sister Roseline, you will be dead by my hands” Claire breathed as she escape and order the soldiers to follow her back to check on others.
