Chapter 9 Honor Sword

  • “Are you from Divine Sword Sect?” asked the leader of Hades Sect.
  • However, he soon began to doubt himself. “Impossible! You can't be from Divine Sword Sect. Supreme Demon Sect assured me they would keep a close watch on all activities of Divine Sword Sect's members. You can't possibly be from Divine Sword Sect. Just who are you?”
  • Asher was about to deal with those criminals when he suddenly sensed something. With a casual gesture, a long sword flew out from the ruins and arrived in front of him.
  • It was the Honor Sword.
  • As Asher gazed upon the all too familiar longsword before him, a flicker of emotion danced in his eyes.
  • Just then, an enraged roar suddenly echoed from the distance. “How dare you wreak such slaughter, thief! Today I will send you to your doom!”
  • Upon hearing that voice, the leader of Hades Sect revealed an excited expression, shouting, “Mr. Coffey, save me!”
  • The person who arrived was none other than Supreme Demon Sect's first elder, Dalton.
  • At that moment, he was consumed by unparalleled anger.
  • In the eyes of Supreme Demon Sect, Hades Sect was merely a pawn, but even a pawn had its uses.
  • Their mission at that time was to ambush the members of Divine Sword Sect, to dismantle the sect's active forces, and to ensure the safety of Hades Sect.
  • Yet, Hades Sect had been destroyed, which was a blatant slap in the face to Supreme Demon Sect.
  • For a superpower like Supreme Demon Sect, maintaining a good reputation was undeniably crucial. Otherwise, no one would be willing to cooperate with them in the future.
  • Asher stood atop the colossal sword, unfazed as he watched dozens of dark figures rapidly approach from the distance. With a forceful push of his feet, he instantly propelled his body forward.
  • In the ear, Asher held the Honor Sword. With a swift stroke, he struck at Dalton and his followers.
  • The sword, initially unremarkable and soft, underwent a dramatic transformation as soon as it was swung. The sky and earth seemed to shift in color as a sword light, dozens of meters long, burst forth in an instant. Carrying an overwhelming force, it slashed toward the members of Supreme Demon Sect.
  • Feeling the astonishing power of the sword light, Dalton was shocked. What is this sword intent? Who is this person? To think he's capable of unleashing such terrifying sword intent! Not only that, I feel suppressed by it!
  • When wielded, the Honor Sword's righteous sword intent had a potent restraining effect on those who cultivated demonic techniques.
  • “Scatter!” Dalton shouted loudly.
  • Dozens of shadows behind him whizzed away in all directions, evading the swing of Asher's sword.
  • Naturally, they, too, had felt the restraining power within that sword's intent.
  • Without slowing his pace, Asher dashed out instantly, letting out a hearty laugh at the same time.
  • “It's only a hint of honorable energy, yet you all scattered like the wind! It seems that the first elder of Supreme Demon Sect is nothing more than this! Truly, your name doesn't reflect reality! Today, I'll spare you all, weaklings. When we meet again, I will certainly claim your lives.” Once Asher had departed, dozens of shadows once again gathered around Dalton. “Mr. Coffey! This person's sword intent poses a significant threat to us. If not eliminated, they will surely become a major problem for Supreme Demon Sect!”
  • Dalton stared in the direction Asher left with his fists clenched tight, his entire body trembling with anger.
  • The incident had just occurred unexpectedly, which made him too apprehensive to confront that strike directly.
  • Looking back, he didn't think he needed to be so wary of that attack when he had an advantage in numbers.
  • Having fought sword cultivators for so many years, Dalton understood that while they were indeed powerful and capable of punching above their weight as if it were second nature, they were not ridiculously overpowered.
  • Moreover, the demonic techniques of Supreme Demon Sect were not to be underestimated.
  • Dalton began to wonder about the mysterious assailant. When did such a powerful sword cultivator emerge within Lushtopia? I don't think he's from Divine Sword Sect, considering not many are on his level and because our sect is keeping an eye on them. However, if he isn't from Divine Sword Sect, who is he?
  • News of the destruction of Hades Sect spread rapidly.
  • Everyone was quite curious about the identity of the masked man.
  • Being able to obliterate Hades Sect with a single sword stroke and calmly departing under the siege of Dalton and dozens of experts from Supreme Demon Sect was no feat for an ordinary person.
  • The more mysterious Asher was, the more he piqued people's curiosity.
  • Supreme Demon Sect was also investigating Asher's true identity.
  • Within Lushtopia, the only sword cultivator faction that posed a threat to Supreme Demon Sect was Divine Sword Sect. All other factions fell short by more than just one level.
  • Meanwhile, all the experts from Divine Sword Sect were within Supreme Demon Sect's surveillance range.
  • For that very reason, Supreme Demon Sect was somewhat puzzled about who the mysterious assailant was and which faction could possibly cultivate such a formidable sword cultivator.
  • Their initial plan was to chip away at the strength of Divine Sword Sect, weakening it bit by bit. They intended to wait until Walter had stabilized his newfound power before emerging, then seize control with the least amount of sacrifice.
  • The sudden appearance of that mysterious expert completely disrupted the plans of Supreme Demon Sect.
  • The executives of Supreme Demon Sect never would've expected it.
  • The source of their troubles was surprisingly the good-for-nothing senior disciple of Divine Sword Sect's current generation.
  • After annihilating Hades Sect, Asher did not get entangled with the people from Supreme Demon Sect who had rushed over to provide aid.
