• “Hello, Mr. Achilles Roman. This is the Kansas City Hospital. Ms. Isabelle Smith has been in a bad accident off of 6th Street and she has been admitted in the City Hospital. Please visit her as soon as possible along with any other family.”
• As soon as the person’s voice was interpreted by my brain, I looked at Carlos, dumbfounded. Before he could say anything, I ran back to my car half-breathed and he apparently ran too, as we got inside and I drove to the Kansas City Hospital.
