Chapter 56 Poisonous Woman

• Eda Every had really made the most of my time with her and as Jareth had said, her mother had introduced me to at least fifty people and I could take no more. With my feet blistered, I look for a chair to catch my breath that the energetic Eda Every had stolen from me.
• "Honey, are you okay?" asks Eda and I try to get up, but, just remembering how much my feet hurt, they keep me from getting up.
• "My feet hurt, I think the new shoes have caused me injuries" I whisper and immediately, Jareth Every appears as if he had heard I was going to die and if he didn't show up, he wouldn't see me alive.
