Chapter 22 First Day On The Job

• I wake up and get dressed in the best clothes I have to go to work. Although I am not in the mood to go to work with everything that has happened to me, I gather strength from where I have none and leave with a few dollars that Mr. John gives me.
• “You only have to walk a short distance to find the bus stop. On the way back, you should take the same route and everything will be fine," says Mr. John and I smile as I watch him walk me to the bus stop.
