• With those words, silence instantly descended upon the room. Numerous guests fixed their eyes on Corey one after another; even Rose and Lydia subconsciously turned their heads to look at him, too. When they saw him come toward Sophia and call her 'Mom,' their eyes were filled with disbelief. Since when did Sophia have a son this old?
• The sudden cry of 'Mom' left Sophia stunned for a few seconds. She understood that Corey was trying to salvage her pride. "There's no need to buy such a big house, Corey. It's fine as long as the house is big enough to live in," she replied weakly.
• "That won't do." Corey's lips curled into a smile. "Now that Dad is recovering from his leg injury, he needs a big house for proper care. And besides, I've checked out the villa. It's fully furnished and has excellent soundproofing. Let's go for it, shall we?"
