• I arrived at Liam's laboratory at the agreed-upon time. As I approached the door, a group of students poured out from the laboratory; they had just finished their class. Not spotting Liam among them, I stood in a corner and waited.
• After two minutes, no one else came out of the laboratory, so I emerged from behind the wall. Liam was busy packing up some experimental equipment. Upon seeing me, he gave a faint greeting, "You're here."
