Chapter 104 Not Quite There Yet

  • We drove into a forest, and I couldn’t help but feel more at ease. Werewolves always feel at home in the woods. The forest makes us feel relaxed, like we’re one with nature. And surprisingly, it wasn't far from my school—pretty convenient, actually.
  • When we finally stopped, I saw a house—or more like a small castle. There were actually a few buildings, but the one in front of us stood out. It was three stories tall, and one side of it was covered in greenery. It had a pointed roof and these four grand stone pillars at the entrance. It was getting dark, so the house was lit up, and through the entrance, I could see these stunning glass chandeliers.
  • Michael led the way inside, and I followed him into the hall. It was massive and empty. The main hall was supported by smooth marble columns, and the floor was made entirely of marble tiles, all in one seamless piece. The color scheme was a calming mix of milky white and pale yellow, very royal and luxurious. A spiral staircase with intricately carved handrails caught my eye, but before I could admire it for long, Michael was already heading upstairs, so I hurried after him.
