Chapter 5 After Wedding

  • Their wedding ceremony lasted only until nightfall, when the clock struck 22.00. All invited guests have returned to their respective homes, and the event has been declared over.
  • Now Liam and Laura are at Liam's family home. When they were in the room, awkwardness enveloped them both. Laura chose to sit on the edge of the bed, just silent without saying a word. Liam sat at his desk, facing his work.
  • "Shower!"
  • Laura's reverie was interrupted when she heard a word from Liam's mouth. Laura turned to look at Liam, who was still busy with his work.
  • "You want to take a shower?" Laura asked.
  • Daniel clucked irritably in his seat. "You!" he snapped.
  • Laura couldn't understand what Liam was saying, scratching her head that wasn't itchy.
  • "Huh?"
  • Liam closed his laptop roughly, feeling annoyed with the girl, who was officially his wife now.
  • "You quickly take a shower now!" Liam ordered in a high tone and with emphasis on every word.
  • "Haa?" The same word escaped Laura's mouth. Laura still hadn't accepted that Liam, her former boss, was now officially her husband.
  • "Why are you still here? Go take a shower!" Liam snapped at Laura sharply.
  • Suddenly, the woman covered her mouth with both hands, then immediately jumped off the bed and ran into the bathroom.
  • "I hope that woman disappears from the face of the earth soon," Liam grumbled, shaking his head and focusing on his work.
  • Laura had been in the bathroom for almost half an hour, not knowing what she was doing until she didn't get out of there.
  • Even after Liam had finished his work, he realized that his wife had not come out of the bathroom. Liam chose to nod indifferently, then got up from his desk and sat on the sofa, playing with his cell phone.
  • Ceklekk...
  • Not long after, the bathroom door opened. Bringing out Laura, who was still wearing her wedding dress, is that a sign that Laura hasn't showered yet?
  • Laura just stood still in the bathroom doorway, wanting to open her voice but hesitating. While Liam stared at Laura sharply, what was she doing in the bathroom for that long? Even Liam was sure Laura hadn't showered earlier.
  • "Why are you still there? Aren't you satisfied that you've been in the shower for almost half an hour?"Liam scolded.
  • Laura snorted in annoyance and then said, "How can I be satisfied? I haven't showered yet." She grumbled in annoyance.
  • Liam glared at Laura when he heard what she had just said. Liam couldn't believe it, so what was Laura doing in the bathroom for that long?
  • "You're really annoying; what were you doing in the bathroom all that time, ha?" Liam snapped angrily.
  • Hearing that jolt, Laura suddenly put her palms together on her chest, as if she were begging.
  • "Please don't get angry, sir. I can't unzip my dress; my hand can't reach it. That's why I want to call one of the waiters to help me," Laura explained, lowering her head between embarrassment and fear.
  • Liam massaged his temples, cursing his wife's stupidity. Of all the smart women out there, why did Laura come into his life?
  • Liam sighed deeply, then got up from his seat and slowly walked over to his wife. Meanwhile, Laura jumped in surprise to see Liam, who was suddenly in front of her.
  • "What are you doing?"
  • "What do you think?"
  • Liam stepped closer, erasing the distance between them, without saying a word.
  • "Face the back!" Liam said, like an order that could not be refuted.
  • Laura stayed where she was, not knowing if her brain was not working or what. She couldn't understand the meaning of Liam's words.
  • "Haa?"
  • Liam chuckled irritably, rolling his eyes lazily. He unceremoniously pushed the woman's shoulder to turn around, facing away from him.
  • "Ehh..."
  • Srekkk...
  • Laura was wide-eyed as Liam pulled down the zipper of her dress, automatically exposing her back. Her face turned red, holding back embarrassment and nervousness. Laura reflexively turned back around, aiming to cover her back from Liam's eyes, but when she turned around, she was too fast, so her forehead accidentally bumped into her husband's broad chest.
  • It made Laura grimace as she stroked her forehead. A few seconds later, she looked up at Liam, who was now also looking at her. Still with the same flat face as usual.
  • The scene didn't last long before Liam gave her a lopsided smile. He brought his lips to Laura's ear and whispered in her ear.
  • "No need to cover up; I'm not interested in your body either," Liam whispered and walked away.
  • Laura's eyes bulged with annoyance as she heard her husband's annoying words. Heat suddenly radiating from her cheeks, Laura grunted in place. Her hand smacked the air as she stared at Liam's back as he walked towards the door.
  • 'Crazy bastard! If Jack would have taken responsibility, I wouldn't have married him,' Laura must have muttered to herself. How dare she speak like that in front of Liam? In fact, Laura should be grateful that Liam wanted to marry her. Otherwise, there's no telling what would have happened to her life.
  • Liam stopped his steps, right at the doorway of the room.
  • "Make me a coffee; it should be in my office in fifteen minutes!" Liam ordered without turning around, then walked away.
  • "Haaaa?"
  • Really, Laura was really annoyed with her husband; how could he make coffee in just fifteen minutes? While she herself had yet to take a shower.
  • Laura let out a long sigh, trying to be patient with her husband's behavior. She went to the bathroom to do her delayed activities, not caring about Liam's orders.
  • Fifteen minutes later. Laura finished showering; she came out of the bathroom in blue pajamas. Walking casually to the dressing table in the room. Laura only took a comb to tidy up her hair, choosing to tie her black hair. Showing off her slender neck, she headed back to the kitchen to carry out her husband's orders.
  • "Huhh, I have to make coffee for Mr. Liam. What a shitty husband!"
  • Arriving at the kitchen, there were still many servants passing by. It wasn't uncommon for them to bow, respecting Laura for being Liam's wife.
  • But Liam didn't change his attitude one bit. He tried to smile kindly in return.
  • "Miss, want to make something? Let me make it," asked one of the waiters in the kitchen.
  • Laura shook her head softly, her hand reaching for the coffee grounds in the cupboard.
  • "No, let me do it. I can do it myself." Laura refused the maid; she didn't know any of the servants in the house. It was Laura's first time in the house.
  • Indah nodded and went to do other work.
  • After a few minutes in the kitchen, Laura had now finished making coffee for Liam. Laura tapped her palm, indicating that she was done with her work. Then Laura stepped out of the kitchen and went to Liam's office.
  • While walking to Liam's room, Laura accidentally met Jack, her ex-boyfriend. From that day on, Laura had prepared her heart if she met Jack, because Jack was Liam's younger brother. Laura will probably meet Jack every day. She felt like scolding and cursing Jack, but Laura realized it was pointless.
  • "Laura, wait! I have something to say," Jack said, grabbing Laura's hand.
