- It was surprising to hear that May had killed Eliza, but I still couldn't help sighing in relief. The moment I heard the news, I felt as though a great weight had been lifted off my shoulders. May did this for me, and I knew that. She wanted to release me from this dilemma, and I am genuinely grateful to her. But I also felt heartbroken for her.
- She had committed a murder. A crime not everyone could do. That was especially so for a gentle soul like May. It was then I realized that my friend had changed. She was no longer the weak lady she once was.
