- I had never expected to fall asleep in the car, and when I opened my eyes, I noticed the man in the passenger seat was glued to his phone. Eventually, I calmed my racing heart and continued driving when I saw that the rain had let up a bit. Once we were down the mountain, he requested to get off before we reached the city, and I obliged his request by pulling over to the side of the road.
