Chapter 40 A Vixen

• "OMG!!! Oh, Charles, what are you guys waiting for? Get him a towel!" Margaux's frantic tone resembled that of a devoted mother who didn't want her child to get sick. It was common knowledge that the famous actress had a liking for Charles, but there was no confirmation from either of them regarding their relationship status. Fans hoped that they were secretly dating off-camera, as they appeared to be a great match. As Margaux was a hot and successful actress of her generation, many people had their eyes on them.
• Brian removed his coat and approached Emily, who was walking with an injury, while Charles helped her by holding her waist and one arm. Both of them were soaked and wet. Brian had intended to jump into the water earlier to help, but Charles beat him to it, leaving Brian feeling guilty. Moreover, Brian was not comfortable with Emily being associated with the Adam family. He had already predicted that things would not be easy for Emily, and she would only encounter more problems by being in contact with the Adam family.

However, since Emily was Charles' brother's future wife, no one dared to question his actions except for Brian and Margaux.
